Barwara Kothi, Jaipur.

While restoring data on my laptop I discovered some pictures from  Rajasthan trip. Not too outdated, neither latest. We had been to Rajasthan in 2011, almost 4 years ago. But the memories are still afresh.

You cannot miss Jaipur in your Rajasthan trip. And so we did not. Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan has so many palaces, havelis, mahals, and kothis to go sightseeing along with big shopping markets.

While booking trip I made sure that we select homestay kind of places to stay rather than choosing hotels. For Jaipur we selected Barwara kothi as it was close to the market and other sightseeing places. As well it was rated more than 3 stars on makemytrip.

Barwara Kothi is a colonial villa spread over 2000 sq. yards. The ‘kothi’ was the residence in Jaipur of the Barwara Royal Family.

DSC_0344The rooms are quite spacious and clean. The owners pay a lot of attention to cleanliness and hygiene.

DSC_0338I  was highly impressed by the subtle décor and furnishing used here.

DSC_0339Being a homestay and not a hotel the “lunch and dinner” hours are followed very strictly. No matter how far you go, you come back for that home-made food

DSC_0336The dining area has many family pictures as seen above

DSC_0334They have got a huge lawn and beautiful passages with good sit outs to have that one cup of coffee

DSC_0332or just relax….DSC_0341Overall an extremely good experience and wish to go again someday!! More information can be found on:
